We’re excited to let you know that RevMob will now be answering frequently asked questions (FAQs) periodically from our customers on our blog. The first FAQ we will answer in today’s inaugural post in the series is.
Q: What is a JS Tag and how do I set them up in my advertising campaign?
A: JS Tags basically work as HTML pages that serve as the creatives for advertising campaigns.
Within these HTML pages, there are usually Java Script tags inside the code, which allows the creatives to stand out from traditional ones.
Because of that, JS Tags creatives usually feel more alive, and they perform much better than static or even animated creatives, such as GIF images.
Now that you know a little bit more about JS Tags, let’s learn how to use them with RevMob.
If you’re creating a new campaign, just continue moving along in the setup until you reach the “Creatives” section. If you want to update the creatives from an already existing campaign, choose “Edit Creatives” from the “All Settings” menu.
In this page, you’ll see two tabs at the top left corner: one for images (traditional creatives) and another for JS Tags. Select the latter.
After that, just copy-paste your JS Tag code into our text box. You can click and drag the box to view your code better and make sure your code is correct.
You can test your code by pasting it to the first box, and then clicking on the “test” button. Make sure to allow pop-ups from this page. Within a few seconds, you should be able to see a preview for your Ad Tag. If that’s not happening, your code might be incorrect.
Once you make sure everything with your code is correct, you can paste your Ad Tag for the dimensions you wish to advertise. The rest of the campaign setup remains the same.
